Jude is 4 mos old!

Jude was 4 mos April 14, 2010! Can you believe?! Time is FLYNG!!

Here are his stats...
Height: 24 1/2"
between percentile 10 and 25

Weight: 13 lbs, 14 ounces
between percentile 5 and 10

Head: 16"
between percentile 5 and 10

I swear he looks so chunky to us! I don't get it, LOL. We got online last night and ordered a weight scale for our bathroom that measures by the ounce so we can monitor a little better though I'm not sure what else we would/should do differently...he eats like a champ! Our pediatrician, Dr. Martin, advises us to not pay much attention to the stats just YET. He's reassuring reminding us that Jon and I are both lean and Jude probably will be too. My thoughts are that he may still be a little behind being born so small?? Dr. Martin says it COULD be the case but as far as skills and development go, Jude is doing GREAT!! So...we watch and wait. He's such a happy baby...I suppose that's all that matters right now, right?! ;-)

  1. Weight can be stressful! I remember taking Mali to the weight check clinic every week. BUT I never took Eleri. The first time around it's just all so uncertain. Sounds like he's eating good though. A whole jar of squash at 4 months old is great! Neither of my girls ever ate baby food good.

  2. Your little guy is doing great! When Eloise was born she was very low in all of her percentiles but after her 1st Birthday she caught up. And your doctor is right... a lot of it is determined by genetics at this point. It's only natural to worry about your kids, especially your first, because everything is so new. If Jude is happy, thats all that matters!

  3. Do not worry...my little angel almost the same age as Jude and weights 12 lbs 2 oz. and is 25 inches tall. SOOO she is pretty tiny too. We go to a Dr. Martin too.....is he the Dr. Martin from Alliance Pediatrics?

  4. Thanks all! :-)

Brie - he LOVES the squash! Not a fan of the cereals...but we keep trying. We can sometimes fool him by putting it in w/formula in a bottle. Usually he just offers it right back though, LOL.

Kelly - I do have faith he'll catch up! Always reassuring to hear others' stories as well though. Thank you momma friend! :-)

Yep Chay - Dr. Martin from Alliance. Is that where y'all go w/B too?! Neat-o! He's SO close! One of my girlfriends recommended him to us (she has an 8 mo old little girl) and so far, so good. He's definitely quirky fun, LOL.
